How can we help?

What’s the difference between engraving and embossing?

Engraving is done with a laser that etches your logo or text directly into the surface of the product — it works on materials like wood, leather, suede, and velvet, and results in a subtle, textured mark.

Embossing, on the other hand, uses a metal plate to press your design into the material, with or without foil. It’s available on wood, linen and suede, and creates a more traditional, tactile finish.
Embossing requires a bold, simple design and (in most cases) a one-time custom embossing plate.
