How can we help?
What is an embossing plate and how do I prepare my files for it?
An embossing plate is a custom metal stamp made from your logo or design, used to press the image into the cover material for a tactile, high-end finish.
To prepare your file, upload a black-on-white vector PDF — bold, simple logos work best. The design should be at least 1000px wide and must fit within the maximum size of 5×9 cm.Once the plate is made, we’ll keep it on file and reuse it for your future orders. If you're unsure about the design, feel free to send it over — we’ll happily double-check it before production.

Examples of incorrectly prepared files for embossing plates
Below are examples of files that are not suitable for creating a custom embossing plate.
A poorly prepared file means your logo/text/graphic will be rejected by our graphic team, and the plate cannot be produced. We’ll email you with details on what needs to be fixed.
Graphic elements with backgrounds
For embossing, the design must be relatively simple — no backgrounds are allowed, regardless of their position behind or around the main design.

Thin or delicate elements
In the example below, the entire right side of the logo would be problematic. The "lolky" text has thin, jagged lines, and the half-sun below includes fine rays that are too detailed.

Very fine graphic elements
In this logo example, the branch is too thin to emboss properly. The minimum line thickness for embossing is 2.5 mm.
